There are a lot of times when the weather might not be that bad in the truck stop but out on the open plains it still sucks.
I can assure you that the DOT does not keep the roads closed just special to piss Striker off. They have far more important things to do than to try and piss you off.

Big Don.......... better to be a "wuss" than a dead macho billy big rigger.
What a good neighbor Colo has in the Brickman. Everyone's getting cabin fever and it's just the 2nd day. I'll admit that I have never driven in a total whiteout. Fog where I could only see 2 stripes ahead yes. And I don't care what anyone says I'm getting off the road. I've had a few who thought they were immortal come tearing up behind me and disappear in less than a second. Don't know how bad it scared them but my pucker factor was off the charts. Didn't answer me on radio either.

So what are you complaining about. At least you were not stuck out on the highway. BTDT, and did NOT enjoy it. Also stuck at the Tomahawk in Brush for around 20 hrs one time. I'll take being stuck at a truck stop, or at least in town any day over being stuck ON THE ROAD.

This could be you. Since this cam updates the image may no longer show the miles and miles of back up at the gate.

Well Wyoming has I25 open again in both directions but they are advising no unneccesary travel south of Cheyenne....you know don't go to Colorado yet.

And then Wyoming has this bright idea to bad if failed. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

I80 shuts down again. If you are going to need to get west best bet is go north up into Montana and then across back down. Long way but the roads are open. Colorado is pretty much shut down and I80 in Wyoming do I really need to say?

Just find your way around WY & CO if need to be on the West coast. If you're stuck in the thick of it, go find some new friends and play some cards you sitting for a bit longer.

Darn it, Big Duker, you're just gonna keep teasing me about Johnson's Corner, aren't ya... If I ever get out there, I hope you're in the neighborhood for a pot of coffee and a cinnamon roll.

That's pretty bad when you are following the plows and it goes bad. Everybody head over to Brickmans house. He'll be glad to put everybody up for a few days.

I live right in the middle of it. I got home right before the storm hit and just decided to stay home for a few days instead of going right back out. Its not like we are making wheelbarrows full of money right now anyway. I would much rather sit out for a day or two than take a chance on something happening to my truck. The wind was easily blowing 40 mph here yesterday and I could barely see from the house to the barn, why go out in it if you don't have to?

I saw the very beginning of that procession on one of the web cams. I guess they should have put chain laws in effect for Sherman. That means only the trucks with chains could have left Cheyenne.
