Beaumont police say an accident involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle resulted in an early morning pile-up on Interstate 10.

Police say after the first two vehicles collided, seven others wrecked out near the 11th and 7th Street overpasses.

Multiple injuries have been reported, but no fatalities.

Several people were thrown out of one van.

The 5:30 a.m. accident shut down most lanes of I-10 west and slowed traffic coming in from Orange County.

At 7:10 a.m. some lanes had been opened and traffic was moving but very slow.
