Bus Driver Killed in Crash With Concrete Truck Bus Driver Killed in Crash With Concrete Truck 4/18/07 Quote: HIRAM, GA (AP) -- The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash in Paulding County that killed a school bus driver. Authorities say the driver -- 57-year-old Diane Wright -- was killed instantly in the crash about 2 pm yesterday (on Ridge Road near Bethel Church Road) in Hiram. No students were on board at the time of the wreck. Authorities say Wright was headed to PB Ritch Elementary School to take students home when the bus was hit head-on by a concrete truck that cross the center line. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the driver of the truck to lose control. The truck driver -- whose name has not been released -- sustained severe burns over most of his body when the truck caught fire. He is listed in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
