GOSHEN -- A mechanical problem is being blamed for a semi -truck fire early Monday morning. Fire fighters responded to the Wal-Mart truck fully engulfed in flames on the corner of 8th Street and East Lincoln Avenue.

Gregory Hatcher, the driver of the truck says he heard a loud boom while he was waiting for a train to pass. He says he got out of the truck to investigate and saw the trailor was on fire.

Hatcher was carrying produce for Wal-Mart in the trailer. Fire fighters say fire can break out when breaks get overheated.
No one was hurt in the blaze.

Trucking Accident Reports

Yes, they always try to put the blame somewhere. The truck driver is at fault, or the last mechanic that worked on the truck. It's never the companies fault. Alot of companies have managers that will put trucks on the road, that have problems that drivers or mechanics have pointed out to them, and they just let it go out the door.
