Semi-Truck Driver Makes Last Minute Turn and Tips Truck Over Semi-Truck Driver Makes Last Minute Turn and Tips Truck Over 4/24/07 Quote: KSL-TV, UT (KSL News) An accident on Interstate 80 slowed traffic heading up Parley's Canyon this morning. The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. The semi-truck was traveling east when the driver made a last minute turn to head up the canyon. Trooper Donavan Lucas of the Utah Highway Patrol said, "At that time there the vehicle struck some of the poles. I believe the speed was too fast, that's still under investigation not sure of that for sure." The truck tipped into the median, spilling some of its load of concrete and ash. Hazmat crews were called in to help clean up the mess. The driver of the truck had minor injuries and refused medical treatment. No other cars were involved.
