Texas trucker in serious condition

Texas trucker in serious condition after being struck by car
6/13/07
Quote:
SPOKANE VALLEY -- A Texas truck driver was seriously injured Wednesday morning after being hit by a car in Spokane Valley.

Anthony Mullinax, 48, of Dayton, Texas was loading cars onto his semi-tractor/trailer when he was hit by 60-year-old Michael Codd. Mullinax was wearing a reflective safety vest and investigators say there were no obstructions that would have impeded Codd’s ability to see him.

Authorities seized Codd’s vehicle as part of their investigation into the incident.

Mullinax is being treated at a local hospital for head injuries and abrasions. His medical condition is not known at this time.

Cool

Do you think it's time to start testing older drivers for reaction time, and vision more often?

I meant no offense to anyone who has a few years on them. I was just thinking that maybe a little extra testing could prevent some of this from happening.

Oh I wasn't trying to get serious.LOL I saw a bus company once that had their drivers play a game before they would let them behind the wheel. The game check them out for reflexes and vision problems. One day it will be on every vehicle in America, right along with the blood alcohol detector.
