An 86-year-old Beaumont resident was killed this morning when a tractor-trailer struck the Chevrolet truck that he was a passenger in.
At 9:09 a.m. police responded to a major auto collision that occurred at the Laurel Avenue intersection of Interstate 10. The passenger, identified as J.C. Trishell, had to be extracted from the car and was later pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
According to a report from the Beaumont Police Department, a 1989 brown Chevrolet truck was sitting at a red light at the intersection when it was hit in the rear by a 2001 silver Dodge Durango.
The force of the impact caused the Chevrolet to swerve into oncoming traffic where it was struck by the tractor-trailer. The collision with the tractor-trailer caused the truck to travel over the median and across the service road.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a female, received minor injuries while the drivers of the Durango and tractor-trailer were not injured. The accident is still under investigation, although the driver of the Durango could face charges of criminal negligent homicide, police said.

Another life snuffed out and another innocent truck driver's career probably ruined because some idiot wasn't paying attention.

No, they can't take his job from him because of someone else stupidity. How ever it's the fact of does he want to keep his job after what happened.(?)
