Man killed after semi hits tractor on 87

8/14/07
The Northwest Florida Daily News, FL -
Quote:
A Milton man was killed Monday morning after his tractor was rear ended by an 18-wheeler on Highway 87 in Santa Rosa County.
The 18-wheeler struck the Belarus Tractor, pulling a Bush Hog 2615 Legend mower, and the impact threw the driver, 36-year-old Robert Ray Thompson, from the tractor. He was found under the Bush Hog, under the 18-wheeler, where he died.

FHP reports say Thompson was traveling south on Hwy. 87, south of SR 4. The 18-wheeler, driven by Felipe D. Cameron, 36, Birmingham, approached the back of the tractor, which displayed a "slow moving vehicle" sign in the back window, according to FHP Cpl. Brian Davis. Cameron failed to slow for the tractor, which broke apart from the Bush Hog upon impact.
