Bad One On Indiana Toll Road

Coming back from Ashland Ohio this afternoon, about 2 pm, about the 134 mile mark westbound had a truck off the road in the ditch in the middle. Wreckers and crew were on scene, cleaning up the mess. Trailer was labeled "Bud Light", so I am guessing that the truck may have been a Werner truck, since I typically see them hooked to those trailers. As I passed, I saw the truck, and I could tell nothing about it, as it was burned to just a motor and frame.

Nearby was an Indiana Tollroad dump truck, with a collision safety barricade on the rear. The left rear corner of the dump bed was smashed badly, the outer left rear tire and rim were destroyed, and the crash barricade was folded up and pretzeled on the right side of the rear of the truck.

As near as I could guess, it looks like the tollroad crew was working in the right lane, and this guy came up on it and clipped the left rear corner of the barricade safety truck, then veered off into the center. Hopefully, the driver got out okay, because there was nothing left of his truck and the front 15 foot of the trailer was collapsed and destroyed.

Link not good, but no one hurt badly. One in hospital with minor injuries, which I would suspect to be the driver of the semi. As I thought, he clipped the state truck, looks like he ripped open the fuel tank and that caused the fire. Truck and trailer were fully engulfed by the time fire dept arrived on scene. Accident happened about 9:15 in the morning.
