Dowd W. Jerome, 51, Salina, has been identified as the driver of the 1999 Peterbilt semi truck that overturned Tuesday on U.S. 160 between Winfield and Oxford. Jerome had to be extricated from the vehicle but his injuries were minor.

A report from the Cowley County Sheriff’s office shows Butler Trucking LLC of Newkirk, Okla., owned the truck. The truck, which was full of cattle, left the roadway before noon and rolled into a ditch.
The roadway was snow covered at the time of the accident but investigators have not said what role weather played.
Dead cattle were visible at the scene but a majority survived and roamed into a nearby pasture. http://www.newscow.net/story.php?StoryID=1432
