Big Rig Fire Causes Gas Station Evacuation

Big Rig Fire Causes Gas Station Evacuation

Quote:
JACKSON, Miss. -- A gas station in Jackson was evacuated after an 18-wheeler caught fire.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday Danny Bennett stopped at the Petro Gas Station on Gallatin Street.

When he came out of the gas station, the truck driver could not believe his eyes.
"When I walked in there to get the ticket on my fuel, I looked back and the truck was totally on fire. Flames was coming out where the windshield is, so I jumped back out of it. I went back there and told them to call the fire department," Bennett said.

Bennet said he stopped in Jackson on his way to delivering corn to a chicken plant in Grenada.

He said his job insurance will cover the damages.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.http://www.wapt.com/news/15572630/detail.html
