Truck strikes semi, driver flies 70 feet

Truck strikes semi, driver flies 70 feet

Quote:
Police say Joseph Raymer was traveling east on the Western Kentucky Parkway when he fell asleep at the wheel.

Raymer then crossed over into the median. He traveled nearly 450 feet down the median and into the traffic.
That's where police say he struck Mark Hibbs. Hibbs was driving a semi traveling west bound.

Police say that after Raymer stuck the semi he was ejected from his vehicle. He landed almost 70 feet from the collision.
Raymer was flown to the hospital with multiple injuries. Hibbs suffered no injuries.
