deputy was transporting two prisoners

Deadly Burke County Traffic Accident
Quote:
Burke County, GA -- A deadly traffic accident happened Tuesday morning in Burke County.
A Richmond County deputy was transporting two prisoners...they were traveling on Highway 56, in Burke County, when the patrol car they were in was hit by an 18-wheeler...the prisoners were thrown from the violent crash. The patrol car flipped several times, ending up in a field.

One prisoner and the driver of the truck were taken to the Burke County Hospital, where the prisoner was pronounced dead on arrival.
There's no word on the truck driver's condition.
The Richmond County deputy and a second prisoner were taken to the ER at the Medical College of Georgia.

We talked with a trooper at the scene of the accident.
So far, the names of the those involved in the crash have not been released. As soon as we have that information, we'll pass it on to you.

Not good

Georgia will be stopping everything with more than 6 wheels for the next 3 months.
