So, a truck that doesn't exist .. I suppose the dead aren't really dead, either.

Sorry - I'm as cynical as the next guy - maybe more so.. but crash reconstruction is not an art - it's a science. If the reconstructionists say there was a truck there, it was there. Not only do they have physical evidence (skid marks, etc) They do have statements from those who survived.

"Nothing to prove the truck was from Mexico" Excuse me, how the hell else did it get onto the bridge? Or was this maybe the truck's SECOND U-turn? started southbound, turned around, then decided he could go to Mexico after all.

Yeah, that's reasonable.

Of course, there's nothing in the story that would indicate the truck was actually of Mexican origin - It COULD have been a US truck returning from Mexico.

yeah. I'll buy off on the multiple U-turns first

I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but it certainly looks from here as though a Mexican driver screwed the pooch.

Yup sounds like every time a accident happens that involves a truck from Mexico, the Mexican government will deny it was one of theirs. This is why I have a problem with drivers from Mexico being allowed to drive any where in the US they dam well please..

That is really bad and I sure hope they find the trucker that killed those people...this is why we as truckers have a bad name is because some drivers act senseless...
