Quote:
A group of travelers miraculously escaped serious injury Wednesday night when a tractor-trailer sheared off the side of their recreational vehicle, which was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 435.
Several people, including six children, were in the RV when the accident occurred. Seven people, including at least two children, were taken to a hospital, but none suffered serious injuries, Kansas City police Sgt. Bill Mahoney said.
The incident began when the RV, which was carrying 14 people from Virginia westbound near N. Woodland Avenue, struck a deer on the highway about 10 p.m.

Most likely he was searching for space to move over, and drifted to the right while he was checking his mirrors.

I'm assuming the RV didn't have its 4 ways on as is so often the case now days. I do not know what goes thru folks heads that stop and don't use any sort of indicator lights.

You're not kidding. The other night I walked out of a town meeting and saw a truck parked on the side of the road across the street on a state route. The driver climbed out and started to walk towards the corner store so I got his attention and suggested that he forgot to turn his hazzards on. The reply I got was to go #### myself. He almost got hit twice while he was in the store buying junk food to feed his fat ### with.

When four wheelers stop on the side of the road do we not see the tail lights or even the vehicle along ways off, there is no reason not to see a disable vehicle.
