One dead after dump truck hits car in Greer One dead after dump truck hits car in Greer 8/4/08 Greenville News, SC Quote: One person was killed in a mid-day collision involving a car and a dump truck near Greer. The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. in the intersection of South Buncombe and Suber roads, according to Lance Cpl. Kathy Hiles of the state Highway Patrol. Hiles said a person driving a 2000 Mercedes east on Suber Road pulled into the intersection and was hit on the driver's side by the driver of the dump truck. The dump truck had the right of way, Hiles said. The driver of the Mercedes, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, Hiles said.
