Driver killed in freak accident Driver killed in freak accident on LIE Wednesday, August 06, 2008 New York Quote: A driver pulling away from a minor car crash was killed when his car was struck by a a tractor-trailer on the Long Island Expressway in Queens. Eyewitness News is told the 61-year-old driver's car was struck by the tractor-trailer while pulling back into traffic following a westbound crash, near Maurice Avenue, just before 3 a.m. this morning.
