Man killed, power out in Dundee

Man killed, power out in Dundee
8/6/08
Dundee, Michigan

Quote:
DUNDEE - A man was killed and his wife is in critical condition today after they were in an accident on US-23 at M-50, where a power outage has affected about 1,300 business and residential customers.

Traffic in the area is at a virtual standstill, and vehicles have clogged the surrounding streets in the village as police continue their investigation and crews clear the scene.

The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m. on northbound side of the freeway when a Cadillac with a Florida license plate slammed into the rear end of a slowing semi-truck. The rig was slowing due to a power line that fell and was dragged by another car, according to Monroe County sheriff's deputies.
