Thousands of bananas up for grabs after semi hits buffalo

BRANDON - A northbound semi-trailer truck filled with bananas hit a buffalo on Interstate 380 near the Brandon exit at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to KCRG-TV9.

Some 25,000 to 35,000 bananas in 40-pound boxes tumbled out onto the road. The semi came to rest across the southbound lanes of the Interstate, and another vehicle hit the truck.

Well at least this answers my question from yesterday.

I wondered what had happened there. Traffic was down to running on the shoulder and it was a mess.

Well, NoTarps said he was turning in his truck and going home tonite. So you never know.

The least he coulda done, though, is dump those bananas here in SoCal. I went to Wally World today for my weekly shopping and they had no bananas!
