Crane gets stuck in underpass

Crane gets stuck in underpass
8/15/08
Alexandria Town Talk, LA

Quote:
A crane being transported by an 18-wheeler got stuck in the Fulton Street Underpass, blocking one of the two southbound lanes Thursday evening.

The blocked lane was reopened about 8:30 p.m.
The crane was being hauled on a flatbed trailer of an 18-wheeler. Traffic was able to get around the blockage.
The clearance of the underpass is 14 feet, 10 inches, according to a sign there.
An investigation is under way, but no charge had been filed as of Thursday night, police said.

Not to get technical but is that not an excavator?

This what one looks like from the front: Most cranes today are rubber tired and that "crane" has cat tracks.
