HOWESVILLE -- Overcorrecting caused a semi-truck to flip onto its side Friday morning south of Clay City.

Officials with the Clay County Sheriff's Department, along with the Lewis Township Fire Department and Transcare, responded to an area on State Road 59 just east of Bogles Corner shortly after 8 a.m. for a semi-truck that had flipped on its side. Upon arrival, officials learned the driver, identified as Jeffrey Best, 48, Danville, Ind., had taken his eyes off the road to check the rearview mirror when he drifted off the side of the road.
