Quote:
BEDFORD — In the wake of a deadly semi-tractor trailer/pickup truck crash at the intersection of Ind. 37 and Ind. 54, two civil lawsuits have been filed against the truck driver, truck owner and trailer owner. Filed in Lawrence Circuit Court by the estate of Myra D. Arnold, the suit requests that the semi driver, semi owner and semi-trailer owner pay “for all of (the victim’s) injuries, damages and losses sustained as a result of the defendant’s negligence.”

This is an example of how O/O's do not protect their assets as much as they think forming an LLC for a 1 truck operation . If you are found negligent as a driver your personal assets are at risk . It's you being sued as well as the LLC .
