Face to face with twister: Truck driver's 'scariest moment' ever

Face to face with twister: Truck driver's 'scariest moment' ever

8/19/08
Palm Beach Post, United States
Quote:
STUART — All Daniel Donalds saw was the gust of wind, and he knew he had to turn away.
"I started screaming," Donalds said. "It was the scariest moment of my life."

Donalds of Belle Glade, 24, a driver for Lake Park's Best Lighting Supply, was on his way to a delivery in Stuart when the weather forced him to turn back.
Then, at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Monroe Street about 10:30 a.m. today, a tornado touched down, knocking over Donalds' truck.
"I knew if I kept going forward, I was going to go right into it, so I tried to turn so I wouldn't go right through it," he said.

I am glad the guy is ok but he must have X-RAY vision to be able to see a GUST of wind.
I wish I'd had X-RAY vision back in 04 when that gust of wind blew me off the road.
