2 Killed in Crash with Fuel Truck in Sumter County 2 Killed in Crash with Fuel Truck in Sumter County 8/21/08 Quote: SUMTER, S.C. (AP) - Workers are cleaning up about 2,000 gallons of fuel that spilled during a tanker truck crash that killed two people in Sumter County. Sheriff Anthony Dennis said the wreck happened about 9 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of state Highways 53 and 341, near the Florence County line. Two people in a car were killed. Dennis said the driver of the truck was flown to a Columbia hospital.
