$23.75M Verdict For Deadly 2004 Crash

JOLIET -- A Will County jury issued a verdict of $23.75 million following a 2004 crash that killed two men and severely injured another on the Stevenson Expressway near southwest suburban Plainfield.
The accident happened on April 1, 2004 when the driver of a 40-ton semi truck crashed into the back of nearly stopped traffic, resulting in a deadly crash that involved ten vehicles in the northbound lanes of I-55 near Route 30 in Plainfield Township, according to the Shannon Law Group.
A Will County jury rendered a verdict against C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., the driver of the truck DeAn Henry and Luann Whitner Black for the estate of the two men who were killed in the crash.
