I passed this accident shortly after 3 am (Friday morning) while the dust was still settling. Police and Rescue had not even arrived yet. Truck was sticking out in southbound left lane and debris were all over the road. I followed another truck onto the shoulder of the highway to get by debris and the MORON STOPPED just past the accident, leaving me just across the road from the accident, while south-bound traffic (cars and trucks) swerved to miss the truck and debris. I thought I was going to get hit.

My buddy was rear ended by a speeding car and it rollled into the median. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. Now paralyzed. Log was legal.

Insurance companies negotiated and paid them off. Easier than fighting they said.

The accident was reported shortly after 3 am? Sounds like alcohol may have been involved with that time.

The trucking company/driver should turn around and counter sue for her lack of keeping her vehicle under control. Maybe in cases where some one at fault names a driver or company in a lawsuit, the driver or company counter sues the at fault party, that kind of crap will come to a stop eventually. Not that driver's fault she didn't keep her vehicle under control.

Agreed Injun the headline was right and it's kinda sick that we can look at a news story like that and pretty much figure that the hearse chasers in this instance are gonna go after another trucker. The sick thing is that we are probably gonna be right:biggrin_25513:
