Has anyone heard what happened today on Eastbound I-40 at exit 157 in Arkansas? There was an accident involving at least 3 vehicles....a Crete 18 wheeler, a pick up and either a van or SUV.(could not tell due to extensive damage.) The Crete truck had front end damage, the pu truck was about flattened like a pancake and the van/SUV was crushed beyond the front doors. Word on the CB said 5 fatalities. I have searched for news but have found none. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family's of all involved.

I went through about 10 pm last night. I must of just missed it?? I fueled at the 161

If memory serves me, it was around 3 PM. Traffic was backed up over 7 miles and we were being rerouted off exit 147. The road we took paralleled I-40 and we could see the accident site with clarity. It was horrific.

I think you may have your mile markers confused. There was a similar accident at MM 254 around 2:48pm. Attached is the preliminary Police Report. www .asp.state.ar.us/fatal/index.php?do=view_reports&accident_number=296&year_rec=2010

I stand corrected. Thank you!

6:00 news says two killed in Arkansas but not sure it was THAT accident. This report said trucks began to pile up and kept pileing up. Will take until tomorrow to clear wreckage.
