I got hit by Swift
I posted about another driver getting hit at the fuel island a week or so ago.
I'll be dang if I didn't get hit two days ago. It was minor, but the guy ran.
I fueled at the Pilot in Baldwin, FL. I saw the Swift fueling beside me and we both pulled forward. There was limited room in front and I was leary of the Swift. I went inside and come out and he was gone. Something come over me and I thought I better check the passenger side.
Sure enough he dragged his trailer tires across my bumper to leave rubber and scrapped the paint off about 8 inches. It can be painted, but it made me mad he ran.
The manager and I looked at the video and he was the only truck beside me. We saw him leave but the angle was from the store and we couldn't see the impact from the other trucks in the way.
He refused to give me the truck number since we couldn't prove anything.
I said my paint is on his tire. That's prood enough.
I waited two hours for a cop to show up because my company wanted an accident report. The deputy was no help either.
This makes 6 times I been hit in 15 years.

an accident two days ago makes people re think safety and flyover ramps ...
A accident two days ago that did not involve a truck but the follow up footage on Channel 5 in Washington, DC showed an 2006 accident where a tractor trailer with a load of wood flipped over on the same flyover ramp in Bethesda, MD; (I 495 Inner Loop to I 270 Northbound) and killed a four wheeler below with falling timber.

It also showed a tanker truck in Baltimore, MD that flipped over the I 895 fly over ramp and exploded on I 95 when it fell down and I think it killed some four wheelers.

A local AAA spokesmen from the Washington, DC office were on the TV saying that flyover ramps need to be remade to the effect that barriers will keep trucks, buses and cars from falling off of fly over ramps.

If you guys have such bad luck, you might consider taking a picture of the vehicle next to you with the cell phone or your digital camera. It would show the number and only takes a second.

i was thinking along the same lines, but i was going to say, carry a small pocket pad, and write down the information from trucks on both sides of where you are parked, but this will get old quick as well. now let's look at this at another view.
suppose the truck parking next to him does not hit him, but yet another truck cutting through the parking area does.....no what do you do........???
