Driver accidently runs over large boulder in Ikea parking lot, drags it onto I-205
I'm surprised he could even hit something that big without realizing it.. It's odd that it didn't hang the trailer up much.PORTLAND – A commercial semi-truck driver dragged a huge boulder from IKEA to I-205 Saturday and he didn’t even realize it was there, police said.
A landscaper alerted police after following large scrape marks all the way from the Cascade Station IKEA store to the freeway, and then spotting the truck with the boulder still under it.

“Officers believe the driver of the truck had gone the wrong way around the turn-around to make a delivery at IKEA. In the process the trailer drove over the landscaping and his rear axle picked up the boulder and began dragging it along as he drove,” said Lt. Robert King with the Portland Police Bureau. “The driver apparently did not know he was dragging a huge boulder. “
The boulder damaged the undercarriage of the truck, which eventually caused the driver to stop on the freeway.
“Thankfully, the boulder did not dislodge into another lane of traffic causing an accident,” King said. “The investigation revealed the driver may have been sleep-deprived.”
An Oregon State Police trooper placed both the driver, who was from Colo., and vehicle out of service for violations.

Dam, this is a heavy load. But I just delivered? Must be a brake hanging? Oh well.
He didn't just knick the curb. He was 4' inside it. The boulders were there to keep dumb drivers from running over the plants. Now they need to put something there to keep them from running over the boulders. And he went the wrong way around the turn around?
Someone hurry and fire this driver. Put a whole bunch of stuff on his DAC and don't even let him drive a golf ball.

At least wasn't a Swifty this time. I saw a video on youtube of a Swifty eating up the raised median trying to make a turn. How do you not know you're dragging something like that?

Aww come on.. it's obvious the trailer airfoils must have sucked that rock under the truck and caused this incident and the driver's just a victim!

Before I saw the picture of a Knight truck, I thought sure it would be a Western Express.
