I was on a shuttle bus from the Colonial Williamsburg Information Center on my way to the first stop at the Governor's Palace when we were stopped on the road. A National Park Service unmarked car with flashing blue and red lights was parked in front of a J.B. Hunt truck. The truck was near a bridge that had a 12'5" height restriction. This carries the southbound lanes (towards Jamestown) of the Colonial Parkway over the path of the CWF shuttle buses.

When we came back on the circuit I saw that the truck had gone under the bridge and was driving past the turn off to the Governor's Palace.

Can that driver tell me how he did it?

Do they really do that? Will not hurthe tires or rims?
Or deflate just enough to clear and can pass under the center where bridge is likely to be highest?
    Who reinflates the tires?

    Are those arched bridges?

A long time ago I got lost around the Pentagon and ended up on some parkways and had to inch up to each low bridge and drive in the center of the arch to ge back to the interstate. Lots less traffic and security back then LOL.
