I-95 Reopens After Semi-Truck Accident Officials said Interstate 95 was closed northbound at mile marker 220
because of two separate accidents. Crews have cleared the accident and
reopened the roadway on Thursday afternoon.
The first accident is reported to involve two vehicles with one overturned in the northbound lanes, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the second crash is reported to be a tractor-trailer that rear-ended 2 other vehicles.
The tractor-trailer ran over a small car and crushed it against a guard-rail,
according to officials.
Troopers said the driver of the semitrailer may have been distracted by the objects in his sun-visor, but they are still investigating the cause of the accident.
One patient is a trauma alert and was taken to Holmes Regional Medical
Center via First Flight.
Two patients are in stable condition and were taken to Parrish Medical Center.
There are seven other patients refusing transport to the hospital.
