Couple of days ago on the work zone on 71 in OH, some idiot in a car flipped me off after zipping around on my right side. He was P.O.d, I'm sure, because I was in the left lane.

Just like the orange signs requested trucks to be every mile or so.

Idiots. More and more of 'em.
Sad, but no different from the truck who passed me on the right, flippig me off and blowing the horn.

Was that a Canadian or Mexican driver ? I guess they also need "Trucks Must Use Left Lane " signs in Spanish and French .
Right now on I-64 in Louisville there are signs saying trucks are prohibited on I-71 NB due to construction and they direct trucks to 64E to I-264E . You still see trucks jumping omn 71NB off 64 .

It was an owner operator in the states, not a Canadian.

He was followed by a couple of company trucks, probably on elogs and tail gating everything.

If reported the e-logs and gps would nail them . All that would be needed would be confirmation that was a construction zone . USX got nailed for that in '06 . The auditor used ProMiles software to calculate speed between change of duty status locations in OH which was a 55 m.p.h. state then . They averaged around 57 m.p.h. so the auditor said the logs were false because they couldn't cover that distance in that timeframe .

Just don't see the need to add to their problems. It is just an observation of what I have seen.

If a carrier is preaching the importance of eliminating speed it is only proper their speeding trucks should be reported - documented and reported to the FMCSA , their insurance company , and the company whose dedicated trailers they may be pulling . USX and Werner are the worst offendors
