More information concerning this accident has been posted on the WJACTV website. It now states that
the accident resulting in the closure was caused by a "rig transporting cantaloupes" that overturned and
caught fire near Carlisle. Still no word on any injuries.

Note that the referenced story also identifies yet another accident in PA, this one on I-80 East near
Exit 90. That accident also involved tractor trailer and resulted in both drivers being taken to the
    hospital with minor injuries.

Yeah, happened to be in the traffic that sat a long time on the turnpike this morning. They opened up construction barricades and let those of us that didn't get detoured around the wreck. Looked pretty devastating. Meant to grab the video off of my dash cam but by the time I got to Kelloggs in Lancaster, I forgot about it until it was already recorded back over.

The worst thing is the secondary accidents caused by the 1st accident. I wish it were more economical for the flashing signs to be put up. And if CB's were used for the right purpose where more truckers would leave them on would help also, except for those cars who don't pay attention to slower traffic. I wonder if the trucker had his hazard lights on.

We always tried to flash our headlights to the opposite side to notify them when we'd go by an accident on their side because of no CB's on, of course they probably just figured it was a cop.
