Wasn't smart enough to cover up identifying graphics on his rig before those pesky cameras got him. HAHAha. Time to give that Pete to a REAL trucker.

sad that there are families out there dealing with that kind of loss today, I wonder how he afforded insurance with 4 reckkless and a wreck?

I'm as sad and sorrowful as anyone could be, at the tragic loss of these innocent lives, but it boiled my blood to see on the second newslink (post #5) that the principal for the deaf school released a statement "This tragedy was clearly preventable and underscores the pressing need for increased safety measures within the commercial trucking industry".
Why is she blaming the "trucking industry" and not direct her outrage at the sole perpetrator of this tragedy, that particular driver, Robert Bates?
I'm so sick of these people who want to place blame on everything except the sole person that causes whatever crime or tragedy.
Exactly the same mindset as the gun control wacko's, but I better stop there, from getting too "political".nikmirbre, Raiderfanatic, calnca and 3 others Thank this. -

And if we're speaking of blame,,
who do you think should be the "recipient"? The trucking industry... or the sole driver?nikmirbre and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -

Sad story... Just don't understand why drivers cant back it down a few MPH and move over... A lot of times I see it when there is no one in the hammer lane and drivers still don't move over pure ignorance... Wouldn't be surprised if this driver was distracted like texting for something like that... Sad for all involved
Raiderfanatic Thanks this. -
as far as drivers moving over, i try to move over as soon as i see a vehicle on the shoulder, Ill let the four wheelers get lined up behind and i love how their is always one idiot who passes in the right lane, just as your coming up on a vehicle on the shoulder. But anyways, the trucking industry and safetly issues should not be blamed for this. This is solely on the driver. if your in the drivers seat you are the captain if that ship and should not force yourself to run to hard nor should you be distracted, texting and what not.
