"Find the truck somewhere in central florida"...sounds like he's deliberately hiding it and wanting law enforcement to go on wild goose chase so to speak..
could be possibly asking for trouble doing that.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
I hope this puts Mercer on a VERY HOT SEAT! Four careless driving citations in ten years? Careless/reckless driving is as serious as DUI. If a driver ever wanted to work for me but had two of those I would tell him to walk. One careless you could say was just a laps in judgement (cell phone. texting etc..) but FOUR thats one every 2 years.
Let this be a lesson to you professionals (like me) who treat your CDL like gold, when you start looking for a place to lease your truck, ask the recruiter "are you guys OK with me having 4 careless and 3 speeding tickets in the past ten years"? "Am I hirable with 2 DUI's"?... If they say its OK, then RUN!
Mercer is obviously one of those places. If you are leased to Mercer and care about your image as a professional, you may want to consider the people you choose to do business with. You may say "one driver does not represent the entire company"... Yeah he does. If they are OK with that guy, then who else do they have driving trucks with the same logo you have on yours?Marksteven, windsmith and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Something creepy about him parking his rig at an adult toy store after this incident.
"I hope those folks I hit back there were ok. I'm in the mood to buy me a new [bleep] and have some fun!"
Not a good image for the public to perceive truckers. -

While in all likelihood it is the truck that struck the people even the police are not certain enough to charge him at this point.

Howard Stern would be more fitting.
