While cops will take statements from witnesses computers are more accurate than them, plus her family was not at the scene.

There is a death and property damage.. i.e. 1#if the car was on a loan the bank wants their money for it. 2#The insurance companies have to pay for the damage, they need to know what exactly happened to determine who's insurance will pay the bill. And, there is no proof that the girl had the accident because her family said she posted on FB at a certain time... she could have texted and put the phone down and then veered off the road due to mechanical failure.

That's why the courts want documents. Judges do not want to be bothered with the nonsensical emotions the media puts out on their entertainment newscasts.

Her facebook post is shown on a post I just seen on Facebook.

Several years ago, a kid was posting on facebook and ran into the back of a bus and pushed it into a semi in St. Louis area. The kid was dead on the scene and the police knew about the posting rather quickly as well.

The articles have stated he was not injured.

I mentioned he would probably be sued for being struck by her.

    c64basic Thanks this.

Well what? Yes.... that's bad too... What about the drivers, 4 wheelers AND truck drivers who tailgate, speed regardless of conditions, race against each other, don't use signals, go too slow in front of you and when you try to pass them, they let you catch up with their "noses" and then speed and leave you behind, on and on and on... '
BTW, I wrote, I am very sorry for THAT particular truck driver involved in this accident...

I am sorry for any truck driver involved in any accident that is not caused by them because, as you may know, even if they are not at fault, that counts against them in their CSA score record. And if driver is a co. driver, some co. may even terminate them regardless of whose fault it is. My co. has one driver whose truck was hit by a piece of metal that separated from a vehicle that was hit by another vehicle. Although the truck was not in the accident, the driver and the co. received CSA points for that "crash" and now co. is fighting to get those removed. :biggrin_25510: It's a real pain...

I see what you're saying but it all comes down to documents which comes from the said persons cell phone company matching the engine computer and the time of day, not FB.
