You think they have not looked at it by then?

When on accidents, we have the police asking if they were using the phone. If deceased, no problem to check the phone.

Now, the reporters have found the information. Please explain how they lied.

The police are not going to "ticket" without substantiation, but surely will lead to it. They do not have an engine computer on a car to check. They check the deployment on the air bag computer system. It does not take them long to find out the use of the phone. Especially if the phone was left on the Facebook posting. In many cases they find the phone still in the text mode.

By not admitting that the cell phone texting records indicated exactly what happened. The FB posting is irrelevant, so they lied, as they always do, everyday.

Matter of opinion. You have not shown any proof.

I have seen the posting that was made. Reporters will not have any access to the cell phone records. You are stating that they lied when they state the family made the statement.

So, in effect, you are stating the family lied.

    I feel sorry for you.

I never said the family lied, I said the media did by not admitting that during an investigation all computer records from the car and the cellphone company are matched for their times. All media reporters know how car and truck accidents are pursued. The families statement had nothing to do with the conclusion. Posting something on FB is irrelevant since it could have been posted while she was parked.

The family has stated that it was posted just before the accident, not the reporters. So, if the reporters state that is what the family said, How in the world did they lie?

so very tragic. I had to share on FB. Praying it stops not only one, but many from texting, pic taking, etc. while driving....

They misled people like yourself by not telling the truth that the FB post was irrelevant to the conclusion of the accident.

11 people a day, on average, die because of using a cell phone and driving,(Texting or talking.) Georgia has a law against it and the people do it now more than before and law enforcement doesn't write enough tickets for it to justify the law.

Let's review the facts we know from the news stories so far:

    1. At 8:33 she posts about the "Happy" song on Facebook.
    2. At 8:34 a 911 call is received about the accident.
    3. She had also been posting "selfies" (more than one) prior to her "happy" post.
    4. She crossed the median on the 4 lane highway and hit a recycling truck head on.

The police know these facts (as reported by the media) because friends notified the police and the police checked her phone. They also have tire tracks going across the median.

I'm not really seeing what all the "media lies" has to do with this story as noted so far. If I wanted to beat on that horse I'd look for a bigger stick and a better example.

Surprised that nobody's jumped on the obvious. She died happy.
