I don't know but, does NTSB investigate all traffic accidents when a death is involved? Or just trucks? Or just when celebrities are involved??? Or just accidents in general….????

not reading the link that was posted. it was already announced on the radio earlier this week. he was doing 65 in a 45 zone. because he was tired.

ntsb was brought into the investigation becuase it's a high profile crash.

what i haven't heard yet. is why he was awake for 24 hours prior.

It appears to me the driver was trying to beat the 14 hour clock, which is a much bigger problem then the restart rules anyway.

Hopefully this accident brings that elephant in the room to the public spotlight. I can see this drivers argument being the unstoppable clock compelled him to push on to his last stop instead of taking a nap at his previous stop. -- No excuse, but a reason.

No shipper, receiver, or dispatcher has pushed me around as much as the 14 hour clock has.

And that james hoffa is a real piece of work.

For a high profile industry insider to make a BS statement that leaves a layman to believe the driver was working 24 hours should be criminal.

And didn't the driver just come off a restart?
