    Glad the driver is in stable condition. You usually do not live to tell about such collisions. God definitely had his hands around this driver.

    I wonder what distractions were going on in the cab of the truck, such as loud music, etc. to not see or hear that train coming. The fireball in the video was not even from the cargo in the trailer as it was severed from the tractor on impact. You can see the trailer a few seconds after impact just sitting nearly upright on the ground.

    IIRC he was lost and worried about making the turn on to the driveway (you can see him moving slow at the end of the turn). This is an extreme example but one of the easiest ways to get in a wreck is to fixate on one hazard and loose your situational awareness.

    The headline states "speeding train". Speeding= exceeding the speed limit. Crappy choice of wording as usual. Akin to "barreling 18 wheeler".

    I'll bet somewhere on the net there is a train conductor forum with all the conductors ######## about how the media portrays them, just like we do.
