Then there are drivers who tailgate in the construction and make aggressive attempts to get the law abiding, safe drivers to speed as well. When they get through the construction, the rushed driver feels slighted to be firced to drive the speed limit and exacts revenge on the safe driver by swerving in front of them and slamming on the brakes thus causing a chain reaction throughout the construction zone.
I can go on and on with many examples of such behavior. Most of the time wrecks are not accidents. They are the direct or indirect results of unlawful, aggressive drivers whom, in the absence of enforcement, have created most of the mayhem on the road.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
I could go on & on too, but I will not, its useless. -
Sounds a bit grumpy. Time for his nap.

Yeah, I hate it when they're out there trying to maintain the very asphalt ribbon that connects me to my livelihood. How dare they??
It is tough when the safe speed is 10 mph or better less than the flow of traffic; who wants to slow down to safe, right? With pitching between concrete and temporary asphalt, orange-coned detours or narrow-lane detours without warning. Hey! If Illinois says 'Bump Ahead', you best believe it!
Worse is when the road's now good for 65 mph and they just dropped it from 55 mph to 45 mph. Saw Illinois troopers, 5 of them, with 4-wheelers pulled over as 474 merges into 74 eastbound last week.
Our job is to just deal with it. Deal with it.
Goes with the territory. -
