Semi-Truck Trailer Flips On US-127, Spills Human Waste
LANSING, MI (WLNS) - US-127 was closed for several hours Friday after a semi-truck trailed flipped over, spilling human waste.
It happened around 5 a.m. Friday on US-127 at Trowbridge Road. Traffic was re-routed to I-496 while officials worked to cleanup the spill.
According to Lansing Township Police a tire blew on the trailer, causing it to flip on the curve just south of the Kalamazoo Street exit. An estimated 25,000 pounds of human waste was spilled on US-127.
Two cars and a motorcycle also crashed. Police say the drivers of those vehicles suffered minor injuries.
The Department of Environmental Quality took steps to insure there would not be an impact to the nearby river from any run-off.
US-127 re-opened around 1:20 p.m.

GOOD GRIEF, I'm LMAO, I don't know how those people can talk about this and not LOL. It probably took several takes at the news studio. And the cars and the poor biker, dang, that's some slippery stuff. You could tell the fire dept. guy was trying not to laugh. Blew a tire causing the trailer to flip? C'mon, I've blown lots of trailer tires, and my trailers never flipped. Nice goin', driver.
