Well, till we get details, did someone cut off the truck causing it to jackknife and leave the scene, I'm not saying a rookie driver either, these companies don't hire rookies, they don't have time to train them.

When I was in my head-on crash with a car, at first impact, I was waiting for the truck to jackknife but it never did, it stayed straight, slid down the shoulder, trailer went into ditch, over centered and rolled the truck over.

 

A year ago last Spring, heading home from town, small service van started to wobble up ahead of me on the center line, then suddenly swerved full head-on into a downhill semi on this small uphill grade, rolled backwards and over fog line. I got stopped about 15 feet from service van. No pulse.

The semi's front wheels were turned into uphill traffic, towards me but he kept his lane and kept the rig straight, upright and all of it in his downhill lane.

My lucky day.

Someone died--that sux--but like in every other ax posted on here lately there are a dozen judge..juries..&executioners on here BEFORE anybody has a Clue what happened....only thing missin is a Preacher to tell us it happened cuz Rock n Roll is the devils music..

Gotta back Sho-Tym on this, there is a company here in Denver that provides stage equipment, and does backup for tours. We've hauled a couple of their portable stages before, and yes, they don't hire any rookie off the street. Few years back we had to run a portable stage from Denver to Chicago, my boss is friends with them, when they called, they wanted a driver a minimum of 10 yrs exp. and no violations for the run. They even did a quick Level 1 on the tractor when he got there to pick it up. Left out Thursday night, dropped in Chicago Sat. morning, and bobtailed home. $2.50/mile plus hourly as he had to wait 4 hrs to drop the stage at the venue.

Think we need more fact checkers and less naysayers here , did any body get the whole story on this incident , hope the trucker makes it , wouldn't matter if it were a band or a quilting club tragitys happen all the time.
