Today we stopped at the rest area at mm 170 on I-80 in Utah, the one next to the beautiful cliffs just east of the junction with I-84. Just as we were about to leave someone informed us that a rollover just happened just west of the rest area, blocking all westbound lanes. We looked with binoculars from the rest area, but couldn't tell much.
It took about 30 minutes to clear the right shoulder and we got underway.
As we passed the wreck it looked like it was an eastbound rig that might have blown a steer and got sucked into the narrow, deep median and came to rest on its right side. No other vehicles involved, ambulance took away the driver.
Any word on this?
