I don't think anybody is blaming the deceased. It's an awful stretch. It's extremely busy, everyone is in a big hurry, then you mix in motorhomes pulling cars going 55, people pulling boats the size of the Onassis yacht, every entrance ramp is solid traffic, lot of old people hanging on for dear life. Florida is nice as long as you don't drive anywhere.

123456 and Tall Mike Thank this.

95 and I4 are probably the worst. Any and all tourist areas will congest for seemingly no reason at all at almost any time of day. They bring their bad driving habits from up north down here. Then the seniors who typically dont travel much, suddenly there are multitudes of them driving RV's of all sizes with little to no regard for what lane to be in. And Changing lanes at the last moment with little regard to who and what is behind them.

Mini vans packed with families, with the driver on the cell phone either texting for directions or trying desperately to use the GPS features of the phone all while trying to smack each child in the back seat and drive at the same time.

    I've seen it all.

Driving in areas that arent tourist zones are great. But pretty much any beach, amusement parks, historic area,.. forget it.

I haven't driven out east much, but of all the places I've been, Atlanta and anywhere in Florida is just the worst. Even L.A. moves along pretty well, when it moves, that is. If I'm not mistaken, that stretch where this happened I believe is 2 lanes, and should really have a 3rd lane, but as broke as Florida is, it ain't gonna happen soon.
