A fuel tanker driver fell asleep (that's what they're claiming) and hit a construction crew injuring workers... Then a drunk hit another construction worker in nearly the same location.... No warning of the work zone perhaps?

Some of the comments on some local news sites here claimed the work zone wasn't marked and several folks didn't see until the last minute and had to swerve around it....

I would think it would be pretty hard to miss those flashing lights unless one was pretty impaired...

Mmmmmm, I'd fall on either side - I40 in California last night, Cal trans had a half mile warning up saying "RIGHT LANE CLOSED" - only to find it was the LEFT lane closed.

I watched a truck blow the speed reduction signs, cut off a driver and slam on the brakes right into it - so I would have had to attribute blame on the whole package to . . . well, to the fact that babies are slippery, and if you're balancing a baby and a bottle of vodka at the same time - the baby may slip from your arm and fall on it's head - and there's a 50/50 chance it'll grow up and drive a truck, or work for Cal Trans . . .

I've had a day where my neck is sore from the old SMH . . .

    gpsman Thanks this.

I remember a number of years ago on US 41 in Rockville, IN came around a bend and smack into fresh asphalt. Flaggers were at the restaurant finishing their morning coffee.
