Actually, three - there's one about 1/4 mile before the bridge.
MODS - For some reason I can't get the second photo to orient correctly.
Edit - Thanks for rotating the photo to display correctly.
I guess two signs wasn't enough...

You have to remember a few things about trucking companies and drivers:
Companies have never said high school education ,common sense, or reading comprehension required. You can be dumb as a box of rocks, as long as you deliver on time and don t hit or kill anyone, you have job security -
That's one old bridge that's been hit quite a few times, now knight adds to the list.He probably seen the signs and thought it only applies to trailers.
tinytim Thanks this. -
So you're basically saying all you need is a pulse?lol

This never ceases to amaze and amuse me... I just can not figure out what is goin through their heads... or I guess more appropriately. . I guess what is not goin through their heads. .
My stomach still jumps when I see a "Low Clearence" sign on an interstate.. even when there is a truck in front me going under it fine...
It is like a pavlov effect.. I see LOW CLEARENCE and my stomach jumps and my senses are all on alert until I see the 13' 9" or higher sign... -

here you go.... -
The direction he was traveling is a downgrade. 300 yards before the bridge, the top of it is at eye level to the driver. You can't even see under the bottom of it at that point. No skid marks. Didn't even try to stop, and ended up clear on the other side.
