They did say they were investigating it as a homicide. Now I don't know if that's telling.but I usually just hear them say "it's under investigation"

I think there is a difference between 'like' a homicide and 'as' a homicide.

The truck went off the road and wasn't found for an hour. Not a very busy road or what?

I just looked at that section of I-35 on Street View. It's hilly, with wooded drops off the side of the freeway. If the truck hit the bus and kept on going down into the trees I can understand how it might take an hour to find it.

The median is grass, looks to be about 50-60' wide, and the edges of the hammer lane shoulder are narrow and drop off a couple of feet from the level of the road. If the driver lost a set of wheels off that edge it might suck him down into the median at an angle. With a full head of steam coming down a grade I can see a moment's lack of attention getting him all the way across the median and into that bus in a hurry.

Terrible, about a month into my career I passed the scene of a similar accident in Orland, CA, it's heartbreaking to see.... I don't like to speculate

The truck traveled for more than a mile of the south bound side heading north then crashed into some trees.. This driver works for us.. I can not go into details, but it is not going to come out good for the company or us drivers..

And yes it is a tragedy for all involved.. Rest in peace girls, our thoughts and hearts are with you and your family..

I worked for Quickway out of Tulsa in 83-84. Great company, tragic news. Will pray for all. I 35 is busy and dark. The closest town is Sulphur and it would be hard to find a truck in the dark with all the excitement over the bus and trying to figure what had happened.People go into shock and can't ell you, don't remember or are injured and can't answer questions. I'm in a Vol FD here and there have been lots of accidents where they don't know a second vehicle was involved.

I travel up and down I-35 daily.. He was on his way to pick up the last load of the day... Over the last few months, there has been numerous accidents along I-35 and I-49 involving turcks.. Just last week a female driver put her truck on the side, at the end of the ramp, coming from I-44 to I-35. Speed was the primary factore in that wreck..
