Sad to see this one, drive right passed the truck. There was nothing left, it was all the way to the frames rails.

the trailer was almost 20 years old. Recycled cardboard can get pretty heavy for an old trailer. Im guessing the trailer infrastructure had something to do with this. RIP Driver.

Err, no. I think, just from reading the story - that the ruptured fuel tank had a lot to do with it.
Gunner75 Thanks this. -
I'm broke down at a service shop down the road from there off 81, the service manager said they towed what was left of the truck off, said that it had 2 200 gallon tanks on the passenger side.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
[Melynda Suarez of Hancock said she was several car lengths behind the tractor-trailer when her 13-year-old daughter, Mahalah Ali, told her she saw smoke ahead.
Suarez said she pulled over for a few seconds before pulling back out into traffic, thinking the accident did not at first appear to be very serious.]
Makes sense to the functionally illiterate, I guess. -
Diesel doesn't just catch fire like paper or gasoline... Go ahead and throw your cigarette in diesel see what happens.. Then try gasoline lmk how it goes
