Holy cow. Pinned in, but walked away with minor injuries. Wow.
-
I'm not sure lucky is the word... Wow... Someone was watching out for him, that wasn't luck.

I guess that they should have put it lower because obviously eye level was not good enough. Oh I know, blame it on the GPS! Glad he was not seriously hurt but #### how do you not see something that big?
-
Or maybe he wanted the newest apple device? The iBeam. -
I'm glad he's ok. those log truck drivers haul axx. not really surprised.
-
Seems from the story the long load ran the red light, didn't get thru it while he had green light. No mention of lights and signage and escorts for over size load. Sounds like there is more than enough blame to go around on this one. Would be interesting to see ow it turns out.
Y2K Thanks this. -
Did this happen in full daylight or in more shady circumstances?
If this was during daytime, could it be possible that a low sun made the beam less visible?
A grey beam can blend into the background. -
He is lucky to be alive but I got a question for all you know it alls who blast the mega carriers and the training. Why is the wrecks you see with truckers are not involved with the megas mostly but smaller outfits, just basing this off the trucking accidents I read and seen this year so the data may be skewed a little..So many says the megas have the worst drivers so I assume I would see more student driver accidents

not the majority of drivers.
