    I know ferric is somehow made from Hydrochloric acid. When I washed tanks, I cleaned quite a bit of it for a company that made it and had their own trucks. Not sure if it's a legal requirement or if the company had another reason for doing it, but they used frp tanks with 4 bolt flange connections, which would lead me to believe that it is pretty corrosive to metal, compared to most types of acid which are just hauled in regular old stainless tanks.
